2021 Trauma Rodeo Held on the campus of RCC
The 2021 Trauma Rodeo was a very successful event. The college had 4 helicopters from area regional medical centers land on campus today, and it had ambulances and fire trucks from multiple municipalities working alongside our nursing and EMS/EMT students.
Physician residents from UNC Southeastern were stationed in the simulated hospital to give guidance and direction to RCC’s nursing students as they treated the patients brought in from the ambulances.
The training event was a great opportunity for our students that allowed them see and understand the multiple facets that go into dealing with crisis situations as a first responder and in a medical setting.
