The Six Triple Eight Actress Dr. Angela Bracey to speak Feb. 25
Dr. Angela Bracey, an actress from Tyler Perry’s hit film The Six Triple Eight, is scheduled to speak during RCC’s Black History Month Presentation: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.
The event will take place on Tuesday, February 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the ADL Auditorium on the main campus in Lumberton.
Bracey is a native of Robeson County and a graduate of Fairmont High School.
Although a longtime educator, Bracey has always expressed an interest in acting and film.
In an interview with WPDE ABC 15 news, she said, “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine this small-town girl from Fairmont and Lumberton would be on a movie of this magnitude… Continue to believe in yourself, pressing forward. I’ve had 100 no’s. But it takes just one yes.”
In addition to Bracey’s address to campus, UNCP’s Music Department will perform “A Collection of Ensembles.”
This event honoring Black History Month is free and open to the public.
