UPDATE: RCC will close early Jan. 21, operate remotely on Jan. 22

In response to forecasted inclement weather, Robeson Community College has announced that it will close early today, and plans to operate remotely on Wednesday, January 22.

Classes scheduled after 2:00 PM today, January 21, 2025 will transition to remote instruction, where feasible. Additionally, all events scheduled after 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, are canceled.

For Wednesday, January 22, the college will operate under a remote learning and remote work day schedule rather than a two-hour delay.

Employees are asked to please remember to take home all necessary items, such as laptops, chargers, and other materials, when you leave on Tuesday. If required by your supervisor or position, please forward your office phones so that you can work remotely. Employees, if you have any questions about your remote schedule for tomorrow, please consult your supervisor. Students are reminded  to check their Moodle and college email accounts for updates from faculty regarding alternate class schedules, assignments, and clinicals. Additionally, all events for Wednesday, January 22, are canceled.

“The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and community are our top priority,” stated RCC President Melissa Singler. “Please stay safe and stay warm during this winter weather event.”

As weather conditions may change, students, faculty and staff are asked to continue to check college email accounts, the RCC website, and RCC social media for further updates.
