RCC says, ‘let’s get connected’ October 24
“Let’s get connected!”
That’s what officials at Robeson Community College hope you’ll do this Thursday, as the institution seeks to increase its outreach efforts through an enrollment drive designed to engage high school students and adult learners.
The registration event will take place this Thursday, October 24 from 4pm – 6pm in the Student Center located in Building 13 on the main campus in Lumberton.
“This event is for new students interested in Career and College Promise (CCP) and traditional students coming or returning to college,” Vonda Graham, the director of educational partnerships stated. “The event is for anyone looking to ‘reconnect’ to college.”
A flyer for the event asks four questions.
- Want better job opportunities?
- Ready for increased wages?
- Want to put your experience to use?
- Want to make the most of high school?
The answer to all these questions can be found by attending the event on Thursday, October 24 where you’ll have an opportunity to explore enrollment opportunities that will expand your future, gain an understanding of how you can build upon the prior college credits you have earned as well as the prior work experience you have achieved, and discover how dual enrollment through Career and College Promise classes in high school can fast track your future goals.
“There will be free food, we’ll have door prizes and it’s going to be a lot of fun,” stated Graham. “Admissions and financial aid will be onsite and available to answer any questions you may have. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.”
The “Let’s Get Connected!” event is free and open to the public.
