RCC expands truck driving offerings

The Truck Driving and CDL Academy at Robeson Community College is expanding its course portfolio and will begin to offer more classes in the new year. 

The academy will now offer Hazmat, behind the wheel training, permit prep and more. 

“We were previously only offering the Class A theory and behind the wheel training,” stated Braxton Ballard, the CDL and truck driving instructor at RCC. “Now we are able to offer either one –  the complete class theory and behind the wheel – or just the stand alone behind the wheel training.”

Ballard says the college will begin offering Hazmat endorsement training for CDL drivers and permit prep classes beginning in January.
