Maryellen O’Brien Appointed to Advisory Board
Robeson Community College’s Director of Learning Resource Services, Maryellen O’Brien, has been appointed to the NC Digital Heritage Center’s Advisory Board. She was selected by the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center in consultation with the State Library of North Carolina. O’Brien will serve a two-year term.
The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center is a statewide digitization and digital publishing program that works with cultural heritage institutions of all sizes across North Carolina to digitize and publish historic materials online.
“The Anne Moss-Biggs Library @ RCC has been working with the NCDHC since 2014, to digitize the College’s archives and thereby preserve its institutional memory. We continue to partner with NCDHC and it is a great personal honor to have been asked to serve on the advisory board,” says O’Brien.
The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center’s advisory board is composed of leaders from professional organizations and institutions representative of the broad variety of cultural heritage organizations eligible to work with the Digital Heritage Center. The board meets annually and advises the Digital Heritage Center staff on policies and services.
