- Can I opt-out of the program?
-
All students are enrolled in the First Day Complete (FDAY) book rental program and the cost is included in their charges which can be viewed in Self-Service.
Though it is NOT recommended, students have the option to opt-out of the First Day Complete book rental program.
Opting out means you will not receive access to your course materials for the term, whether digital or hard copy, in a convenient package at a discounted rate. When opting out of the First Day Complete program, you will need to purchase the book(s) for your class(es) yourself.
If cost is an issue, it is recommended that before you opt out, to contact the bookstore to get the book(s) purchase price because it may be more than if you participate in the program.
Opting out is for the term (not per course or per session). If you opt out and add class(es) later, you will need to purchase those book(s) as well.
If you choose to opt out, you must do so by or before the deadline date of your earliest session’s census date.
Examples: If you opt out for the term and are registered for full-term 16 weeks classes and 1st 8-week classes you would need to opt out for the term by the deadline of your earliest session’s census date. For this example, that would be January 16.
Once the deadline for your first session has passed, opting out is no longer an option even if you are registered in or add classes in a later session.
