Daytime manicurist class wins Halloween Nail Contest

The manicurist students at Robeson Community College got into the Halloween spirit early this year during RCC’s Fall Festival event held at the COMtech location.

Students enrolled in the program got together to create Halloween nail art and decided to have a contest to see who had the best designs.

“We had a friendly competition with the day and the night class,” stated Angela Dennis, the director who oversees the program. “The students designed a “Halloween” themed nail design for a mannequin hand each.”

The designs were on display during the fall festival and visitors had a chance to vote on which hand they thought was more creative.

“The Day class took the win by 6 votes,” Dennis said. “At tally, the Day class had 26 votes and the Night class had 20.”

The daytime class members who helped create the award-winning hand include McKenzie McMillan, Arianna McGirt, Jamiah McDaniel, Keiri Riquelme, Shamarie Davis, Jasmine Meekins, Dakota Britt, Kiara Locklear, and Jaylee Freeman.
