Why are we called TRIO programs? Originally there were 3 programs-Upward Bound, Talent Search and Special Services. Student Support Services is one of 7 current TRIO programs. The other 6 are: Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math and Science, Veterans Upward Bound, Educational Opportunity Center and Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement. Our program is funded by the Department of Education on a 5 year cycle.
