About College Transfer
If you are you interested in earning a four year degree, the College/University Transfer Program will provide a strong foundation and seamless transfer to a four year institution. The Associate of Science (AS) degree is designed for students who wish to complete two years of college and then transfer to four-year colleges or universities to complete a baccalaureate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Associate in Science (A10400)
The Associate in Science Program concentrates heavily on the natural sciences and mathematics and is recommended for those who plan to continue a Bachelor of Science degree program. Students in the AS program are required to take the general education core courses in English composition, humanities/fine arts, social/behavioral sciences, and natural sciences/mathematics; however, there is stronger emphasis on natural science and mathematics Students take science and mathematics college transfer courses based on their specialized interests and needs for a total of 65 semester hour credits.
Additionally, the College/University Transfer program offers a Transfer Core Diploma (Science-D10400). This program is designed for the student who desires transfer to a four-year institution, but does not intend to complete the AS (65 credit hours) degree program.
